Lawrence Minor

Lawrence Venton Minor, 88, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at home. Funeral services will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg, MO at a later date. Visitation will be 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Friday October 1, 2010 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Lawrence was born March 9, 1922 in Warrensburg, MO. He was married for 45 years and widowed for the last 15. He owned and operated his own business for over 35 years and retired in 1994 to care for his wife. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn R. Minor. Survivors include son, John V. Minor and wife Annette of Overland Park; grandsons Jon L. Minor of Myrtle Beach, SC and Thomas W. Minor of Denver CO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Odyssey Hospice, Diabetes Society or the Humane Society. Lawrence was a great father, grandfather, and friend.
