Larry D. Fink, 81, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday October 15, 2010 at Prairie Baptist Church, 7416 Roe Ave, Prairie Village, KS; burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Larry was born August 24, 1929 in Philipsburg, PA. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo. Larry worked for the F.B.I. for 30 years starting as a clerk and later as a special agent retiring in 1979. He was a longtime member of Prairie Baptist Church, a member of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, a volunteer with the Shawnee Indian Mission. Larry was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth A. Fink, and daughter, Joan Fink. Survivors include his wife Ruth Bettels Fink, three children: Martha (Terry) Bredehoeft, David Fink, Karen (Joel) Kesler; a brother, Thomas H. Fink; 7 grandchildren: Shelby and John Bredehoeft; Michael and Lauren Fink; Christina, Jennifer and Katharine Kesler.
