Lana Rue Heath, 70, Stillwell, KS, passed away Friday, November 26, 2010 at her home. She was born in Kansas City, MO, went to school at South East and Raytown High school. Visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Olathe Medical Center 20333 West 157th Street, TDB #2, Suite #301, Olathe, KS 66061-7211.
Lana was preceded in death by her father Norman O. Pennington, mother Wilma E. Pennington, and granddaughter Aubrey R. Heath. She is survived by her husband of 52 years David L. Heath, son and daughter in law Dean and Pam Heath, and son Brent Heath.
In 1958 Lana and Dave were married and lived in Kansas City, MO for 14 years. Lana and David along with their two boys moved to Stillwell, KS, and have lived there for 39 years. Lana loved neighbors, friends and family on both sides of the state line. Lana had been in the hospital and came home the day before Thanksgiving to be with her loved ones.
