Kimberly Hurt

Kimberly Marie Hurt, 29, was born to Mike and the late Linda Hurt on April 22, 1986. She was raised in Merriam, KS and attended Arrowhead Elementary School, Antioch Middle School and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School. She achieved an Associate’s Degree in Mathematics from JCCC and completed two years of classes at KSU, then returned home. Kimberly worked at JCCC summer of 2006, then at Grace Childcare during the summer of 2010. Next was Arby’s in 2012, where she became a shift manager in 2014. In 2015, she worked at Payless Car Rental. Kimberly passed when a tree she was helping cut down fell the wrong way on Oct. 23, 2015. She is survived by her father, Mike; sister, Pamela; brother, Christopher; grandmother, June, Grandfather, Ron; Uncle Ken (Loni), Uncle Glen (Nancy), Aunt Nancy, Uncle Ricky (Velma), Uncle Gene, Aunt Pat; cousins, Andre, Mandy, Angela, Ali, Sherry, Katherine, Stephanie and Colleen. A memorial service will be held 10:30am, Saturday, Oct. 31st at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 7230 Quivira Rd, Shawnee.
