Kevin was born March 15, 1952, in Parsons, KS. He was very proud that he grew up working on the Katy railroad, where his father also worked. Upon graduating from Parsons High School in 1970, Kevin moved on to the University of Kansas, where he pledged Sigma Chi and graduated in 1974. After college, Kevin moved to Kansas City, where he met Jo, the love of his life. Together, they raised two children, Brandon and Morgan. They founded a small real estate appraisal services company, which quickly grew and Kevin's vision led them to merge the firm with many trusted partners to create the largest real estate valuation services company in the country. Kevin was a respected businessman, partner, and advisor to many, and lived life by the Daniel Burnham's maxim "Make no little plans. They have no magic to stir men's blood and probably will not themselves be realized." Kevin achieved nearly everything he set out to accomplish, touched the lives of so many, and truly relished his role as a mentor, helping to guide many to realize their own goals and dreams. Kevin was always happiest lounging at Grand Lake, watching KU sports, hunting with his dear friends and son, dancing with his daughter, and enjoying sunsets with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lovisa Nunnink, as well as his baby brother Joseph, of Parsons, KS. He is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann, his children Brandon and Morgan, his adoring sister Dee, his beloved nephews Matt & Ryan Mattes and Cory Wells, his grand nephew Carson, and his hunting and walking partner, Lilly.
