Kelly Uppman

Kelly Lee Wait Uppman passed away March 29, 2017. Born Nov. 13, 1960, Kelly was a lifelong resident of Kansas City. She married John Uppman on Nov. 17, 1990. Their two children—Matthew, 25, and Erin, 20, were Kelly’s pride and joy. She was an Eastern Star member of the Golden Chapter #58. Kelly was very involved in her children’s activities and enjoyed household crafts and working for K. C. Drive-Away.
She is survived by her husband, John; children, Matthew and Erin; mother, Carol Wait; sisters, Debbie Baskett and Kathryn Wait; in-laws, Gerald and Marilyn Uppman; sisters-in-law, Susie
Uppman and Elizabeth Uppman; brother-in-law, Chucho Márquez; nieces, Julia and
Lucia; nephews, Rick, Joseph, Michael, and Steven and their families. She
was preceded in death by her beloved father, Ret. Sgt. Gary Wait of the KCPD.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Colonial Church, 7039 Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS 66208 on Tuesday, April 4, at 11 AM, with visitation at the church from 10-11 AM.
