June Evans, 79, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Friday, December 4, 2009, at the Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation for Mrs. Evans will be Wednesday, December 9, 2009 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66204. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Kansas.
June was born July 12, 1930 in Kochi Ken, Japan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Raymond, her parents, and a brother. She is survived by two special cousins, Marvin Henre and Steve Henre, her family in Japan and numerous nieces and nephews.
