JOHN E. SANSTRA
John E. Sanstra, 93, of Overland Park, KS passed away November 30, 2010. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 3, 2010 at 1:00p.m.at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will precede from 12-1:00p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to the American Heart Association.
John was born January 13, 1917 to Edward and Evelyn Sanstra. John proudly served in the Army Air, and also the Navy. John was a proud member of the purple heart association. He was a distinguished business man, and retired as a Vice-President of Sunshine Biscuit in March of 1982. John enjoyed spending time at his vacation home in Branson, MO where he made many close friends.
John is preceded in death by wife Marguerite, and second wife Golde. Survivors include his daughter Mary Toney, 2 granddaughters Mary and Sara, many great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Charlotte Samples, niece Carol and her family, and dear friends Sandy and John Michalski.
