John Micek, Jr., 77, passed away February 19, 2017. A visitation will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS. A private graveside will be held at Floral Hills Cemetery.
John was an avid fan of KU basketball, the Chiefs and the Royals. Anyone that knew John would know it wasn’t uncommon to see him playing a round of bingo or listening to bluegrass music. John spent 35 years with Procter & Gamble until retirement.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Patricia and great-granddaughter, Hailey. He is survived by his daughters, Sharon (Johnnie) Micek-Clay, Barbara (Corbin) Hofstetter; grandchildren, Justin (Ashley), Aubrey, Claire, Wyatt; great-grandchildren, Damien, Sierra, Blake and brother, Robert (Fran).
