John Garrett Warhurst, 19, passed away May 1, 2011. The funeral service will be held 11:00a.m., Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Grace United Methodist Church, 11485 S Ridgeview Rd, Olathe, KS 66061. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2011 from 6-8:00p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Harvesters or Heart to Heart International.
Garrett graduated from Olathe Northwest High School in 2010, and attended the University of Kansas. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Anyone who knew him loved his light-hearted and playful sense of humor; he lit up the room with his smile. He appreciated music, sports, and fitness. He doted on his dogs Maggie and Pepe.
Garrett is preceded in death by his grandfathers Perry James Warhurst and Charles William Kasselder. Survivors include mother, Melissa Beth Warhurst, father, Perry James Warhurst, sisters, Caitlin Jane Warhurst and Lauren Elizabeth Warhurst, grandmothers Jill Warhurst and Carol Lynn Kasselder, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
