Joel Duane Grecian, 30, of Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 18, 2011. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26th at D.W. Newcomer & Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf in Overland Park from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM with services to follow.
Joel was born June 26, 1980 in Houston, Texas, and also lived in Naperville, Illinois and Overland Park, Kansas. He was an avid music lover and local sports teams fan. He especially cherished spending time with his family and countless friends. He is remembered by all who knew him as a genuine, caring and loyal friend who welcomed everyone into his life with open arms and a smile. All that knew Joel remember his unique and exceptional sense of humor.
He is survived by his parents Jerry and Teryl of Overland Park, sister Jeryl Berger (Brandon) of Arlington Heights, Illinois and brother Christopher (Julie) Grecian of Mahtomedi, Minnesota. He is also survived by his grandmother, Denzel Ferguson of El Dorado, Kansas and his beloved nieces Kaelynn, Ashleigh, Kayla and Sadie.
