Janice Brodhacker Dinwiddie, 89, of Overland Park, Kansas went to be with her loving husband Eddie on January 7, 2016. Janice was born on May 23, 1926 in Kansas City, Mo. She graduated from Southwest High School and attended Baker University. Janice was a very proud member of Phi Mu Sorority while attending Baker where she majored in music.  Her life was filled with music starting at the age of four when she began playing the violin. Her love and commitment to music rewarded her with scholarships to the Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Baker University. Janice was a member of Unity Temple on the Plaza. She was a very spiritual woman and quite involved with the church. Janice was department head for the Truthseekers group for several years at Unity. When the family moved to Salina in 1971 she started a Unity Church there. After moving back to Kansas City she managed the Unity Bookstore on the Plaza and later on became the wedding coordinator there. Janice filled her life with church and family. She was a devoted wife to Eddie and mother to Cheryl, Linda, and Ginny. Janice enjoyed bowling, golf, and traveling. She remained active throughout her life until the very end. She always enjoyed participating in all events at her assisted living facility. She was a true ambassador for the Kansas City Royals at the facility and led a parade around the lobby cheering and waving flags after the World Series victory. Janice loved life and life loved her. She touched the lives of everyone she met in such a positive way. Janice will be forever missed by her adoring family. She leaves her three daughters, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, her twin sister Marjorie and numerous relatives and friends. As much as we will miss her our hearts are lightened as we know she is dancing with her Eddie in heaven. Memorial Service will be held 1:30pm, Tuesday, Jan. 12th at Unity Temple on the Plaza, 707 W 47th St, KCMO 64112. Arr. by Overland Park Chapel, 913-648-6224.
