Jackie Rae Berg Raymond; passed away March 21, 2018 in Merriam, Kansas. She was the fourth daughter born to Frank and Mathilda Pauline (Kassler) Berg on March 5, 1932 in Ironton, Minnesota. She attended Crosby-Ironton Schools and was employed in Minneapolis from 1950 to 1957. Married to Gerald D. Raymond in May 1954 at Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood, MN. They raised six children, relocating to the Kansas City area in 1966, living in Overland Park and Prairie Village, KS until her passing. Many summers were spent in Deerwood, MN. Jackie was active with many Girl and Cub Scout troops; a ten year member of Heart of America Roundtable staff for which she earned the award and a week at the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico; a volunteer member for over twenty years at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mission, KS;American Legion Auxiliary Unit #370 in Overland Park, KS; and chairing at the V.A. and R. program at Leavenworth Veterans Medical Center in Leavenworth, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Robert; sisters, Francis Marie (Carl) Leino and Beverly Jean (Melville) Norlander. Survived by daughters, Michelle Marie (Lonnie) LaCroix, Robin Rae Raymond (Ronnie), Geri Jayn (Eugene) Smiley, Erin Ione (Ray) Taylor, Teri Lynn Mills (Clarence White); son, Gregory D. Raymond; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Overland Park Funeral Chapel in Overland Park, KS and at Koop Funeral Home in Crosby, MN. Graveside service will be at the Scandia Cemetery in Deerwood, MN. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the local animal shelter or the Salem Lutheran Church West in Deerwood, MN.
