Jack Douglas Stewart, age 79 of Overland Park, KS passed away March 15, 2010 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Memorial Service will be Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 2:00p.m. with a reception to follow at St. Thomas The Apostle Episcopal Church, 12251 Antioch Road, Overland Park, KS. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church in honor of Jack.
Jack was born July 19, 1930 in Muskogee, OK to Jack and Mary Stewart, and raised by Uncle and Aunt, Homer and Eunice Ryker, who all preceded him in death.
Jack married Rosemary and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage together. Jack was a graduate of the University of Missouri-Rolla. Jack retired from Kansas City Power and Light. Jack was a Member of Sigma Nu, Tau Beta Pi, member and past president of both Eta Kappa Nu, and the Academy of Electrical Engineers. Jack was also a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife Rosemary, daughter and son-in-law Anne and Dave Thompson, granddaughters Erin and Paige, son and daughter-in-law Doug and Cynthia Stewart.
