On Sunday, August 23rd, 2009 at 3:20 a.m., the angels picked up Jack Polson and took him to Paradise. Jack passed away peacefully with family and friends surrounding him.
Jack Polson was born on September 21, 1981 in Wichita, Kansas. He has mostly lived in the Kansas City area since the age of 7. He attended Rosehill Elementary and then graduated from Shawnee Mission South in 2000. He spent a few years working at Lake Powell in Utah and then Salt Lake City. He came back to the area and worked most recently at Nordstrom in Oak Park Mall. He was the E-bar manager for a while and then transferred to the shoe department as a Sales Associate. He loved working for Nordstrom and they loved him. His family thanks Nordstrom from the bottom of their hearts for the love, support and care they have given to Jack.
Jack had many, many friends and lots of relatives that loved him. A day will not pass without many people thinking of and missing him. We know he is in a better place and free from pain now. Jack is survived by his parents, Doug and Pam Polson, his sister, Melanie Polson and his little nephew Parker Polson. He is also survived by his grandmother, Anita Kodas, and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins - Terry Wright and children, Brian and Emily Wright and children, Marci and Steve Michnick, Jeff Polson and Nara Wood and children, Michael and Carolyn Kodas, and Todd and Jackie Kodas, and children. His cat, Spooky will also miss him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Kitty Wright.
A celebration will be held to honor Jack’s brief, but full life at Unity Church of Overland Park, 10300 Antioch Rd., Overland Park, Kansas at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2009.
