Jack J. Braden, born October 4, 1926, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2009 at the Indian Creek Nursing Home. Jack was a railroader for 42 years. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Bert Braden. Jack will be greatly missed by his wife of 61 years, Clarice Braden; two sons, Jack Braden, Jr., of Overland Park and Stephen Braden and wife, Carolyn, of Lawrence; one daughter, Linda Fonseca and husband, Daniel, of Overland Park; granddaughters, Bonnie Braden-Kopp, of Lenexa, Kera Neighbors and husband, Tad, of Escondido, CA, Kacee Di Tacchio and husband, Luciano, of LaJolla, CA, Kori Jones, of Olathe, and Jennifer Braden, of Overland Park; one step-grandson, Joey Hartigan, of Olathe; a brother, William Braden and wife, Winnie, of Eudora, KS; and 11 great grandchildren. Cremation. Private family services only. Burial at sea.
