Jerry was born January 21, 1927 in Kansas City, KS. He attended Wyandotte High School before entering the Navy and serving for four years during WWII. He later served six years in the Marine Corps Reserves during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the Mission Police Department from 1960 to 1975 and served as Chief from 1969 to 1975.
Jerry was preceded in death by two sons and his wife, Loretta Pike. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth A. Pike of Mission and a sister, Althea Koerth of Tonganoxie.
