Hope Cohn

Hope Janel Cohn, born October 11, 1958 in Kansas City, MO, died peacefully with loved ones by her side after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Hope’s strength and courage inspired everyone around her. She found the most joy in being around children, working at a pediatrician’s office and spending 15 years as a nanny. She left a lasting imprint on every family who knew her and every child she cared for. And her greatest happiness in life was in her role as a mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents Eddie and Corrine Gerson. She is survived by her children Louis and Mika Cohn, Andrew Cohn and Katie Cohn and two grandchildren.

Hope will be having a private funeral service. The family will be receiving visits of condolences on Sunday, January 28, 2018, beginning at 4:00 p.m. An evening service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Please contact Overland Park Funeral Chapel at 913-648-6224 for details.
