Harold Williams, 77, of Salisbury died Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Inwood, Long Island, NY he was the son of the late Hector Mason Williams and Mamie Lee Williams.
A Korean War Army Veteran he was an Advanced Ambulance Medical Technician for the Nassau County Police Department in NY for 37 years until his retirement in 1984 and a past Auxiliary Police Officer in Nassau County, NY. For several years he was the recipient of the Safe Driver Award from Connecticut Limousine in New York. After his retirement from Connecticut Limousine in 1995 he relocated to Salisbury. He was a member of Delmarva Evangelistic Church where he was a Royal Ranger Commander, a member of the American Legion Post 64, a life member of the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International and AARP.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Jessie Mae Williams of Salisbury, a son Dr. Harold E. Williams of Salisbury, two sisters; Marie Williams and Helen Hunter both of Inwood,Long Island, NY, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Adam, Calvin, and Samuel Williams and a sister Elizabeth Weatherspoon.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 AM at Delmarva Evangelistic Church. Rev. Dr. Ruth Chamberlain and Rev. Robert ?Buzz? Gregory will officiate. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 PM at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the Church. Interment will be held Tuesday at 11 AM at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery Eastern Shore in Hurlock.
