Gladys Hallifax

Gladys E. Hallifax, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away on Monday, August 17, 2009 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center as a result of many complications since an auto accident on May 25. She was born June 21, 1925 in Syracuse, New York. Gladys loved and was loved by her family, friends and church. She was like a second Mother to her nieces, Star and Cherry. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert (Bob) Jeffrey Hallifax, son, Rob Hallifax, his wife Carol and children & their spouses, Julie Burger (Mike), David Baker (Dawn) & John Baker (Katie), and daughter, Denise Elizabeth Beatty, and her husband Jay and daughter Emily.
Gladys retired from Shawnee Mission Medical Center as the Administrative Assistant at the Child Care Center.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the New Haven SDA Church, 8714 Antioch Road, Overland Park, Kansas 66212.
In lieu of flowers, Gladys requested that donations be made to Shawnee Mission Medical Center 9100 West 74th Street, Shawnee Mission, Kansas 66204 or the New Haven SDA Church.
