Gertrude Lisson

Gertrude B. Lisson, 89, of Mission, Kansas, passed away quietly on December 30, 2009. Gertrude spent her life caring for her family and enjoyed quilting, baking and playing cards with her friends. She was a founding member of the St. Pius X Women's Club and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband John and her sisters Clara Alene Jones and Eunice Wilber. She is survived by her son Jim and wife Patti Lisson of Prairie Village; son Dave and wife Jenny Lisson of Aurora, Colo.; daughter Patty and husband Bob Mendelsohn of Sydney, Australia; daughter Janet and husband Rick Morton of Shawnee; 12 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday at 10 a.m. preceding the 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Pius X church in Mission. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Tonganoxie, Kan.
