FORREST SIDNEY (SHORTY) ROBISON
Forrest Sidney (Shorty) Robison, 94 of Overland Park passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010. Known as Short or Shorty to family and friends, he was born on November 10, 1916 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi. His family moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma when he was a child. He was married to Sylvia L. Simmons on August 6, 1939. They recently celebrated their 71st anniversary. He served in the Seabees branch of the United States Navy during World War II. He was a long-time employee and executive of Sutherland Lumber in Kansas City. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (or Sylvia to some), his sister Faye, brother Darrell, numerous nieces, nephews and loving family. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 23 from 12:30 to 1:30, with service at 1:30 at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at the family site in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on November 24.
