Evelyn Wall

Evelyn ("Evy") Justina Wall, of Leawood, Kansas passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Visitation will be Friday, May 15th from 7:30 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. at Prairie Baptist Church, 75th and Roe Ave., Prairie Village, KS. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 16th, 2009 at 10:00 A.M., also at Prairie Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hooker, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions are requested in lieu of flowers and may be sent to the Worldwide Fistula Fund, P.O. Box 27879, St. Louis, MO 63146-1379.
Evy is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dr. Leonard A. Wall, M.D. and by two sons, Dr. L. Lewis Wall, M.D. and his wife Helen of St. Louis, MO and Dr. Terry J. Wall, M.D. of Roeland Park, KS and by two grandsons, Thomas Wall of St. Louis, MO and Jimmy Wall, a Peace Corps volunteer in Chirpan, Bulgaria.
Evelyn, a registered nurse, was active in the life of her church, and in the American Baptist Women's movement in the Central Region as well as nationally. She served on the Board of Trustees of Ottawa University. She was a gourmet cook and a loving wife and mother. The world is a poorer place for her passing.
