She was preceded in death by her former husband, Roy Stuckey, and their infant son, Jeffrey; and by her sisters, Wilma and Myrna.

Evelyn will best be remembered for her enjoyment of music, her giving nature, and her love of children. She played the clarinet in the high school marching band, and sang alto in a trio with her sisters. As a mother, she often sacrificed her money and time to enable her children to have many opportunities. She was active in church activities, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, and in her middle years ran a daycare center from her home. Late in life, despite her own failing health, Evelyn was primarily focused on the health and well-being of her husband, Adrian, who was her loving companion since their marriage in 1999.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), the National MS Society, or World Vision.
