Surrounded by family and friends, Eugene E. Pasewark, 85, of Overland Park, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday July 21, 2011 with a visitation from 12-1 p.m. at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf; burial to follow in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Gene Pasewark was born July 10, 1926, in Kansas City, KS. He was a General Foreman for the Santa Fe Railroad for 44 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the Overland Park Church of Christ. He enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Ruth P. Pasewark and two daughters: Denise Burton and Lisa Barker; one son-in-law, Bob Burton and three grandchildren: Cara Sanders, Chase Wilson and Ben Wilson; one grandson-in-law, Zac Sanders and one granddaughter-in-law, Amanda Wilson. He is preceded in death by his son, Vernon Eugene Pasewark.
