Eric J. Samuelsen, 49, Prairie Village, KS, passed away February 2, 2016. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 11 at 7 pm at Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Eric was born July 27, 1966 in Jacksonville, FL. He graduated from Shawnee Mission East in 1984. Eric worked as a mechanic for O’Neill and Andy Klein dealerships, and also for Sunrise Glass. He studied computer technology at DeVry Institute. After leaving DeVry, he was employed by Spring and Ericsson. Eric enjoyed music and was an amateur guitarist. He loved dogs, especially Dali and Kirby. He is survived by: his parents, Lt. Col. Conrad USMC (Ret.) and Grace (Anderson) Samuelsen; brother, Paul Scott Samuelsen; brother, Clay (Sandra) Samuelsen; sister, Sharon (Richard) Sweeney; nephew, Lance Sweeney; and niece, Courtney Sweeney.
