Elsie B. Thomson, 89, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, Dec 12, 2006 at Villa Saint Joseph in Overland Park. Elsie was born on Sept 25, 1917 in Erie, Pennsylvania. After graduating from East High School, she attended the Erie Business College. Elsie married the love of her life, Kenneth B. Thomson on October 3, 1942. They moved to the Kansas City area in 1951. Ken and Elsie celebrated 59 years wonderful years together before his death in 2001.
Elsie was an active member of Prairie Baptist church and was proud to volunteer at Shawnee Mission Medical Center for over 20 years. Elsie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and she will be missed by all that knew her.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth D. Thomson and his wife, Orady, Daughter Janice Workman and her husband Kent. Six grandchildren: David Thomson and his wife Song, Anourom Thomson and his wife Nikki, Vera Thomson, Nira Thomson, Ryan Workman and Meagan Kice and her husband Drew. Three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Nathan and Ryan Kice.
The family is so grateful for Denice, Geoffrey, and all of the other ?angels on earth? that cared for Elsie during her stay at Villa Saint Joseph.
