A long-time resident of Kansas City, Kansas, Elsie was active in her sons' activities while working part time. She retired from Kansas University Medical Center in 1984, where she worked as a medical record technician. She loved music and was most fond of the guitar and violin pieces played by her late husband, Tracy, and surviving son Wynne. She took great pride in her sons and daughters-in-law and dearly loved her grandchildren. Elsie and Tracy welcomed everyone to their home, whether in need of a meal, a place to overcome illness, or to share in a holiday. Their hospitality was never fancy, but always genuine. Elsie's family pays special thanks to the staff of Garden Terrace of Overland Park, who so lovingly cared for her, and thus gave us comfort, as well. A visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 5400 West 75th Street, Prairie Village, Kansas.
