Elizabeth “Betsy” Clara Scherrer, 81, of Overland Park, KS passed away June 7, 2017.
A visitation will be from 5-7 pm Sunday, June 11th at the Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS rosary will be prayed at 5 pm. Funeral Mass will at 10:30 am Monday, June 12th at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5500 Woodson Rd., Mission KS, burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Betsy was born on February 21, 1936 in Kansas City, KS. She was married to Joseph Scherrer for 31 years. Betsy was a member of St. Pius X, a longtime member of St. Cecelia’s Circle, an avid gardener, a lover of all animals and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and just enjoying life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Scherrer. Survivors include her children, John Scherrer (Sandi Beamer), Therese Agee (Matt), Susan Scherrer; grandchildren, Lindsey and Maggie Agee. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church.
