Edward "Bulldog" Remler, 89, of Prairie Village, passed away on September 11, 2013.
Edward was born on March 10, 1924 in Sand Springs, OK to August and Grace Remler. Edward was a 1942 graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy, USS Nashville, which was a common theme throughout his lifetime. Edward was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, having served in many roles, including State Past-President. He was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America and a member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Edward is preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline.
Edward is survived by his wife of 48 years, Audry. He also leaves behind his two daughters, Adlen Donahue, of Round Lake, IL, and Teresa (David) Green of Georgia, and over 125 Foster grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 16th, 6-8 PM, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 17th, 11:00 AM, at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 W. 71st Street, Overland Park, KS.
