Edith A. Meara, 88, of Overland Park, Kansas died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at home. A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date in Eastlawn Memorial Cemetery in Bloomington, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
Edith was born on October 13, 1919 in Pekin, Illinois. She resided and raised her children in Bloomington, Illinois. Edith was a graduate of Ball State Teachers College, a member of DAR and PEO.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bill Meara. She is survived by her children, Patty and husband Cork, John and wife Rene?, Dave and wife Steph; grandchildren, David, Alison, Brad, Brian, Krista, Courtney, Jill, Jessica, John III, Jennifer, Madison, Emma, Michael, Meredith and John; great grandchildren, Abby, Jack, Ashley, Claire, Lauren, Elise, Brooke, Zack, Megan, Luke, Kate and Charlie.
