Dorothy H. Sullivan, 95 of Kansas City, MO passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Kansas City Hospice House. Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 10th at Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS 66208. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Private graveside services will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army or Village Presbyterian Church.
Dorothy was born September 3, 1911 in Kansas City, MO to Harry and Rosalie (Rushkawitz) Chapin. She worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone for 14 years and City Service Oil Company for 15 years, eventually getting into the credit and collection area of the company. Later she moved to a retail electrical supply company, Chevron, from which she retired. Dorothy has been a member of Village Presbyterian Church since May 20, 1984. She was a long time member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary and a longtime volunteer at Trinity Lutheran Hospital. Dorothy loved world traveling; taking cruises over a 10-year period, around the world at least three times on the Royal Viking (now the Cunard) and is a club member. Survivors include her adopted family, Joyce and Bob Harber; their daughter Sherry Kuglin and her husband, Ron; their son Rob Harber and his wife Cheryl; and their five grandchildren: Andy, Ben and Sam Kuglin, and Scott and Shelly Harber.
