Dorothy McLaren Pease, 91, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 in Colorado Springs, CO. Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel; burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens at 11:30 a.m. Friday. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 12th at the Country Club Christian Church (Combs Chapel). The family suggests contributions to P.E.O. Dorothy was born June 15, 1918 in Chanute, KS to Alvin and Eva McLaren. She graduated from Baker University with a Bachelors Degree in Education and later graduated from UMKC with a Masters in Education. Dorothy was a counselor at the Shawnee Mission North High School. She was a 40 year resident of Prairie Village, a member of the Country Club Christian Church, GI chapter of PEO, and a member of the American Association of University Women. Dorothy married Robert L Pease in 1947, he preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Warren (Christine) Pease of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren: Shannon Pease-Dodson and her husband, Ryan Dodson of Chicago, IL, and Jonathan Pease of Denver, CO; two sisters, Eloise Swalwell of Overland Park, KS and Marge Allen of Garland, TX
