Dorothy Jimerson

Dorothy M Jimerson, 67, was called home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 12, 2018. Dorothy was born May 2, 1950  in Kansas City, Mo. to Louie C Ward and Eleanor Ellefeldt.  She spent all of her life living in the Kansas City area and settled in Overland Park  with her husband William Jimerson, where they raised their 2 children. Dorothy had the most loving, generous heart and touched many lives with her presence.  Her smile and fun personality was enough to light up any room.  After giving up her home daycare of 35+ years, which she enjoyed more than anything, she spent most of her time with family and friends. Although she missed and loved each one of the children in her care as her own, she filled the void with her growing number of great grandchildren.

She attended Overland Park Christian Church where she had a wonderful, extended church family.  Shopping and garage sales were another favorite pass time for her.

Dorothy is preceded in death by both parents, and her husband William H Jimerson Sr. She leaves behind two children, her son William H Jimerson Jr, and wife, and daughter Sondra L Marchand, and husband, her 5 grandchildren Phillip, Ethan, Holly, Andrea and Carmen, and her 9 great grandchildren, Mathew, Jasmine, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Paisley, Nevaeh, Matthew, Cameden, Brooks and one on the way that will not have the privilege of knowing her.  She also leaves behind 2 sisters and 3 brothers and a countless number of extended family and friends that will miss her dearly.
