Dotty Robinson, 90, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel with a service following at 1:30 p.m.; burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Salvation Army or the American Heart Assn.
Dotty was born May 13, 1922 in Woodward, OK to Faye and Paul Lobaugh. Dotty grew up in Tulsa, OK and finished high school in Oklahoma City, OK. Oklahoma City is where she started her career in the banking business. She married Jess Robinson in Oklahoma City and moved to Tulsa where Jim was born in 1952. Later the family moved to Prairie Village, KS in 1959. She went to work for Johnson County National Bank in 1970 when Jim went off to college and spent 21 years at the bank. She started as a drive-in teller and left the bank as a Vice President. Dotty enjoyed volunteering with her friends at the American Heart Assn. , American Cancer Society, and Odyssey Hospice. Survivors include her son, Jim; grandchildren: Derek, Mallory; her nieces: Paula Bradford, and Kaye Gurthet; her nephew, Bob Beaver and their respective families.
