Dorothy Marie Bushfield, age 92, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on February 8, 2007. Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 12, 2007 at Colonial Presbyterian Church, 95th and Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri. There will be a reception at the church following the service. The family will have a private burial. Mrs. Bushfield was born May 19, 1914, in Wellsville, KS, to Carl and Minnie Coltrane. She was an active member in the Colonial Presbyterian Church, and a model of Christian living to all who knew her. She served as a volunteer at The Light House, worked with special needs adults in the Abounding Love program at her church, and was a member of the Prime Timers Sunday School Class. She was active in education, serving as a public school teacher as well as a teacher and administrator in private pre-schools in the area. After retirement she was active as a volunteer in Belinder School in Prairie Village. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and counted among her proudest accomplishments her two daughters and their families. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Coltrane, and sister Frances Wiggins. Survivors include her husband of 69years, Jim Bushfield, of the home; two daughters, Ann Dale of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Jane Norton of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren Lindy Ireland, Kent Dale, Kurt Dale, Sallie Ben Attar, Jay Norton, and Sarah Jane Stevenson; and 14 great-grandchildren.
