Doris Connor

Doris I. Connor, 84, of Mission, KS, passed away September 15, 2010. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 21 at Overland Park Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the church. She was born in Willow Springs, MO, and lived most of her life in this area. She was formerly employed at Montgomery Ward & Co.; Farmland Industries; co-owner & co-worker at Connor Jewelry; The Jones Store Co. (25 years) from which she retired in June 19, 1998. She served in several offices for Rushton P.T.A. and was P.T.A. President 1969-1971. She was a member of Overland Park Church of the Nazarene, Foundation for Christian Living and A.A.R.P. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Kay Connor, Mission, KS, and a sister, Mildred Lindsey, Raytown, MO. Her husband of 64 years preceded her in death in 2010 and son Dennis Wayne Connor in 1981. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Associations, or Overland Park Church of the Nazarene.
