Donna Walker, 66, of Overland Park, passed away on September 26, 2013.
Donna was born on November 20, 1946 in Kansas City, MO to Virgil and Dorothy Day. Donna's Grandmother Mae Lehman was an active part of her formative years, as she lived with the family. She was a 1966 graduate of Shawnee Mission East, where she was Swimmer of the Year for the Meadowlake Swim Team. After High School, Donna attended Pittsburg State University, where she was a member of Sigma, Sigma, Sigma Sorority. Donna wed Edward Walker in 1972.
Donna leaves behind her loving husband of 42 years, Ed, her son, Steve Walker of Louisburg, a step-daughter, Ronda (Larry) Briggs of Overland Park, two grandchildren, Hailey and Devon Walker of Roeland Park, a sister, Carol (Larry) Trimble Wichita, a nephew, Jason Trimble, of Wichita, and a cousin, Foster Lehman of Dallas, TX. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, and her grandparents.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 30th, 2:00 PM, at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, KS.
