Donna Rogers Brackett passed away peacefully on December fifth. She
was born January 28, 1922 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Dr. Rupert and Ruth
Rogers. She was a graduate of Harding High School, Middlebury College and
Columbia Presbyterian School of Nursing.
Her grace and steadfast love were her family's greatest strength. Always
working quietly in the background, her greatest satisfaction was watching others
succeed. Her radiant smile, quick wit and generous spirit could brighten any day.
Donna's was a life of service, including teaching adult reading and writing
for the Laubach Literacy program, and weekly support for many years for
individuals at the Sharon Lane Care Facility. She was active in the Prairie Village
Colonial Congregational Church in various capacities, including serving as
Moderator.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dr. Charles E. Brackett, and
five daughters: Pamela Hennessey of Denver, CO; Rebecca Brackett of Vail, Co.
Deborah Sokol of Lenexa, Ks; Beth Armstrong of Overland Park, Ks. and
Barbara Brackett of Phoenix, AZ., as well as eight grandchildren and 8 great-
grandchildren.
