Donald McGuire, 78, years old of Gardner, KS, formally Lebanon, MO departed this world April 28, 2011 at Olathe Medical Center. He is the son of Noble & Birdie McGuire. Donald was a Korean War veteran and a truck driver for 35+ years. He was married 41 years to Myrtle who left us in 1993. Brothers Gilbert and Delbert, grandson Caylon Brown, preceded him in death. He leaves behind sisters Gracie Tooley, Louise and Wilbert Henson, brother Dencil and Joann McGuire. He also leaves children Robert Darnell, Donna Thurman, Scott McGuire and Deana McGuire. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grand children, which he loved dearly. He was loved by many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Sunday May 1, 2011 4 pm-6 pm, Funeral is Monday May 2, 2011 at 11 am at the DW Newcomers Funeral Home, 8201 Metcalf Ave Overland Park, KS.
