Donald S. Linhart, 81, of Mission, KS, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 1, 2011. He was born on January 8, 1930 in Browning, MO. He graduated from Truman University and then served in the Army during the Korean War. He was in the Army Reserves for 20 years and retired as a Colonel. He also graduated from KC Dental School in 1960 and practiced dentistry for 40 years in KC, KS. He was a man of many talents including a realtor, Army Reservist, dentist, and loved to travel the world with his wife and family. He never met a stranger, had a smile on his face, and always had a story to share. His kind spirit will be deeply missed by all.
He was preceded in death by: his mom and dad Verna Cutler Linhart and Dr. E.S. Linhart and his sister Helen Mae Linhart. Don is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol K. Linhart; son: Michael; daughter: Kristin Mack, and grandchildren; Kaylee and Gabriella Mack and Antonio Linhart.
Memorial services will be held at 10 am on Friday, April 8th at D.W. Newcomer's Sons at 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Following the service the Military will be honoring Don at Leavenworth National Cemetery at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
