Donald L. Gray, 84, of Prairie Village, Kansas died, Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 1 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 5400 W. 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS 66208. Visitation will follow directly after service. Private inurnment in the Asbury Memorial Garden. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Don to Asbury United Methodist Church for Cross-lines.
Don was born on January 9, 1924 in Rose, Kansas to James W. and Della M. Gray. He graduated from Chanute High School and then enlisted in the Navy, serving until 1945. Don attended KU and received a Bachelor?s Degree in Civil Engineering in 1949. On August 4, 1951, Don and Wanda married. He retired from Larkin and Assoc., Consulting Engineers in 1989. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church since 1963. Don especially enjoyed fishing and all other outdoor activities.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Osmer J. Gray. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Wanda L. Gray and many beloved friends and fishing buddies.
