Dixie (Rinehart) Boos, 73 of Prairie Village, KS, passed away at her home on Friday May 9, 2008. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 16th at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be from noon-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Dixie was born on February 1, 1935, in Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by her father, Forrest Rinehart in 1982 and her sister, Roxy Martz in 2006. Dixie is survived by her mother, Anna Marie Rinehart, Leawood, KS; her daughter, Quinci Rushford; son-in-law, Brian Rushford; two granddaughters, Farryn and Tanith Rushford, all of Denver, CO; two sisters, Trixie Rinehart, Ottawa, KS and Terry Rinehart-June, Parkville, MO; two brother-in-laws, George Martz, Kansas City, KS and Gayle June, Parkville, MO; six nieces, three nephews, three great nieces, two great nephews and one great-great nephew. Dixie was an administrative assistant for Sprint. She lived in Los Angeles for 17 years before returning home to Kansas City in 1977. She was very active and young at heart. Her life time passions were snow skiing and figure skating. She skated up until the time she fell ill in early January of this year. Dixie was an artist and loved music. She lived life passionately, was loved by many, and will be greatly missed.
