Dennis R. Lindley, 69, of Olathe, passed away on January 22, 2014 in Overland Park, KS, after a courageous battle with liver cancer.
Dennis was born November 9, 1944 in Kansas City, Kansas to Milton and Virginia (Hashman) Lindley. He was baptized on January 6, 1963 at Shawnee Methodist Church in Shawnee, KS. Dennis was a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School; he attended Kansas State University, Rockhurst University, and UMKC, and held a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. He was on the Board of Directors for The Traffic and Transportation Club of Kansas City, 1974-1979, and he served as the Chairman of the Board for The Kansas City Gift Mart, 1998-2003.
Dennis is survived by his life partner, Howard Howell, of Olathe, KS, his two daughters, Carrie S. Lindley of Orlando, FL, and Cheryl A. (Neil) Nadrash of Carrollton, TX, two grandchildren, Andrew and Sarah Nadrash of Carrollton, TX, a sister, Carole A. (Jerry) Powell of Jefferson City, MO., two nephews, and one niece.
A celebration of Dennis's Life will be held on Saturday, January 25th, 2:00, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be private in Central Missouri.
