Deborah Kociurka Eiler, age 57, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Menorah Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Christ Church Anglican, 5500 West 91st Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66207. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, January 12, 2009 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas 66204. Burial in Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery, Union, New Jersey. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church Anglican, Children International, or to Calvary Lighthouse in Lakewood, New Jersey.
Debbie was born on January 12, 1951 in Newark, New Jersey. She was a graduate of Vailsburg High School in Irvington, New Jersey and of the Lyons Institute. She was a member of Christ Church Anglican in Overland Park, Kansas and previously of Calvary Lighthouse in Lakewood, New Jersey, where she married her husband Kenneth on August 2, 1997. Debbie had been an employee of MetLife since 1996. Prior to that, she held positions with Fortis Benefits Insurance Company, Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company and Crown Life Insurance.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, William Kociurka. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Eiler, of the home; two step-daughters, Amy Eiler and Kristin Eiler, of Kansas City, Missouri; her mother Stella Kociurka, and brother William J. Kociurka, both of Jackson, New Jersey; her aunt, Sophie Stackwick of Union, New Jersey; and many cousins and friends. Debbie was deeply loved by all and is being deeply missed.
