David Takacs, 53, passed away on Wednesday September 13th at Kansas City Hospice House. Dave was born in Buford, SC and was raised in Grandview, MO. He graduated from Grandview High School and attended UMass in Amherst. Dave loved spending time with family & friends, golfing, going to the Lake of the Ozarks or any beach. Although he was born in Missouri, he was a super loyal Jayhawk fan. His daughter Gracie was the center of his world, he even passed along his love of golf to her.
Even though he was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer, he was still able to live his life to the fullest. We know that Dave is teeing off in heaven now. He is preceded in death by his brother Rob. He leaves behind his wife, Shana, daughter Gracie along with his parents, Gene & Rita, brother Steve (Trish), niece Molly, mother-in-law Janet Kenny & sister-in-law Maggie (Dave) Lusso.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Gracie’s education fund, checks can be mailed to: Edward Jones (FBO Gracie Takacs) 9300 W 110th Street, Building 55, Suite 400, Overland Park, KS 66210.
