David Lengle

David Jesse Lengle died on Friday, August 15, 2008. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, at Faith Lutheran Church, 67th and Roe, Prairie Village, Kan. Friends are invited to greet the family in the fellowship hall following the service. Burial will be private. David was born on Nov. 11, 1992, and spent his brief but well-lived life in Prairie Village, having just started his sophomore year at Shawnee Mission East High School. David will be missed by his family and many friends. He was a remarkable young man, graced with the empathy and generosity of spirit that most of us spend our lifetimes working to acquire. His last of many acts of selflessness was multiple organ donation, which he had previously told his mother was something he would want. David is survived by his mother, Katharine Lucas Lengle; his brother, Matthew Scott Lengle; his grandmother, Lucy Bruene; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
