Constance Vance

Constance Kagey Vance, 77, of Leawood, Kansas passed away Friday, December 12, 2008. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on December 17, 2008 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas 66204. Private inurnment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri. Connie grew up in Wichita, Kansas. She attended college at KU and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She was a member of the Junior League of KC, DAR and was the regional representative for Nancy Kassebaum for 18 years.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Elizabeth Kagey. She is survived by her children, Cynthia Knighton and her husband, Clark, Leawood, KS; Erika Vance, Kansas City, MO; Allen T. Vance, Kansas City, MO; sister, Charlotte Brown, Wichita, KS; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews; father of her children, Dixon Vance. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Way or the KU Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.
