Claris Whitehead

Arlene Whitehead, 77, Shawnee, KS received her eternal reward on August 3, 2007. Funeral services will be 10am Thursday, August 9th at Overland Park Assembly of God Church 7700 W. 75th Street. Visitation will be 6-8pm Wednesday August 8th at the church. Contributions to Church of Hope, Rev. Ben Marselus, 841 Minnesota, Kansas City, KS 66101 or to Hospice Care of Kansas, 15329 W. 95th St. Lenexa, KS 66219 will be appreciated in lieu of flowers. She was a member of the Overland Park First Assembly of God Church. Arlene?s ministry was working with children, serving as Kindergarten Department Superintendent and later as a nursery attendant. She loved children. She leaves her husband of 59 years, John, three children and their spouses; Janice and Brig General Greg Couch, Olathe, KS; Susan and Randy Marselus, Overland Park, KS; Scott and Paula Whitehead, Lenexa, KS; six grandchildren and their spouses, Carrie Beth Marselus; SSGT Bradley and Amy Couch; Amy and Joshua Highfill; Rev. Ben and Rachel Marselus; Melissa Whitehead; Grant Whitehead; one great grandson, Corey Couch; her mother, Marthelle Parks, Raytown, MO; two sisters and their husbands, Boneva and Rex Tattershall, Grain Valley, MO; JoAnn and Charles Wilson, Rocky Mount, MO and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
