Clarence Feik, 79 passed away January 6, 2007 at Truman Medical Center.
Clarence was born July 14, 1927 to John and Charlotte Feik in St. Louis County. He served as a Hospital Corpsman from June 16, 1945 to July 15, 1948 in the Navy. Clarence received a B.A. from the School of Social Work in June 1953, University of Missouri Columbia. In February 1954 he married Eleanor (Suchland) Feik and from the union were three children, Robert, Ralph, and Amy. Clarence was employed in 1956 by Kansas City Payment Center, Social Security Administrative as a claims examiner, was promoted several times and became a Modular Manager, which is the position he held at the time of his retirement in 1979. Clarence belonged to Friends of K.C. Zoo, Friends of Nelson-Atkins Art Museum, and Friends of Powell Gardens. He took two tours to Africa, Kenya in 1983 and Ruanda in 1984 to see Mt. Gorillas and add African birds to a long list of bird-sightings as an amateur ornithologist and lover of nature. Clarence also took two tours to Costa Rica one in 1987 and also in 1993 and, he also toured the Dominican Republic in 1986.

Clarence is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, John, Robert, and Ralph. He is survived by his three children, Robert and Ralph of Kansas City, MO., Amelia Grace (Amy) of Colorado Springs, CO., two sisters, Charlotte Albrecht of Cadet, MO., Lucille Bhenke of Ft. Wayne, IN., and several nieces and nephews.
